    to be read slowly:

many times i've wished to miss
    the mediocracy of the list
    of achievements and stadards set
    of maturity and social debt

to live the life of dreams and the free
but in that goal i dimmly see
the hopes of all in myself
my dream, no more special, on the shelf

i was just wondering if i am expressing myself in a way that anyone can understand.

i know what i'm trying to say be but i was wondering if anyone else could

if you think you know what i'm trying to say - post it here please/

    thanks:dunno:

Verse 1: You don't want to be trapped by the conventions of society as they seem dull to you.

Verse 2: You want to follow your own dreams but you suspect that your dreams are banal.

I've read this a few times now and I think you are saying that

you wish that you didn't think so deeply about what society puts value on and considers important.

you wish that you didn't feel compelled to fit in with those norms because of the pressures others are putting on you..

you want to make your own way through life in what you think is important rather than what family and friends (maybe) think is important
