I need to move some stuff down to my parents house, and I need to hire a van. Nothing huge, but I do have 2 large chairs and then some boxes of stuff. Probably a Transit or similar would do. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to go to hire one - I think I only need it for one day. Dublin to Wexford and back. Also, I'm only 23 (full license) - will this be a problem - do you have to be over 25?

    cheers.

Is a car license all you need to drive a Transit???

you can drive a transit on a car license, even a high cube version.. but not too sure bout the over 25 thing. depends on the hire company... try dan ryan truck rental, or national van rentals... you'll find them online

Hire companies won't hire out unless the driver is over 30yrs, some places it is 25yrs.
I tried a few months ago. Needed to have an extra car for a day or two and all the places around allow me to hire it out.
I'm living in Tipperary, might be different in Dublin.
