Calling all guitar players! (and bass players and drummers)!

Serious outfit this weekend for your perusal.... This will be a **** hot gig. Those that know.......know... Thats all I'll say on the matter...

    SATURDAY 27th March

    "Tommy Halferty Trio"

    Members:
    Tommy Halferty : Guitar
    Ronan Guilfoyle : Bass
    Conor Guilfoyle : Drums

It's been a busy period for guitarist Tommy Halferty. Having recorded two albums last month, he makes his third appearance at the BBR in the esteemed company of Ronan and Conor Guilfoyle (on Bass and Drums respectively), to showcase material from their yet to be released album.
Halferty has been a shining example of artistry and musicianship on the world stage for many years and tonight is certainly no exception.Harmonically and melodically, he is a distinctive guitarist, and in joining with the Guilfoyle brothers this is a trio to be reckoned with. Ronan Guilfoyle has developed an international reputation as a performer, teacher and composer and is a pioneer of complex rhythm techniques which will no doubt be a feature of this material. Conor Guilfoyle has been expanding the rhythmic language of jazz with his application of odd metres to the standard repetoire and using the Afro-Cuban concept of clave to extend to different time signatures. The result? An exclusive opportunity to hear new material from this world class trio. Enjoy!
