is it out? wheres it being screened, if it is?

tbh, i doubt it will beat the original films... pure child excellence:)

I heard that John Woo wanted to make a CGI version based on the more violent comics (I heard that the turtles in the comics are psychos, decapitating left, right and center).

    It'll be interesting anyway.

True, his hollywood films, other than face off for it's action, have been pretty poor.

His older films though, are pretty good. Notably Hard boiled, with Chow Yun Fat.

He was a cult legend, before he came to hollywood. Face off has good action, but god it's so tacky!!! Also, I hated Nic Cage's over acting, but the idea behind the film was cool.

    Oh dear god...
That's just torn the last shred of respect I had for John Woo kicking and screaming out of me...

I just can't beleive he once directed great films like The Killer and Hard Boiled.

From the listings it's on at a good few places around the country, none down here in Cork mind. There's a listing for a new Turtles film on IMDB but there are no details on it. Just says it's in production.

The capitol in Cork had it listed the last couple of weeks as a matinee film...not sure if they referred to this new one or the originals, mind.

This weeks RTE guide has a picture for a screening of Turtles 2 on Sky Movies... As much as I love the turtles, where did this sudden popularity come from?

There's been a new kids TV show of the Turtles on for the last few months. It's lame but kinda fun. Does it's best to be cinematic with the black borders coming into the picture when fights happen and all that.
