Sheryl crow has been added to the line up for bob dylan in galway which already includes damien dempsey and paddy casey.looks like it could be pretty good and one more 'international' act still to be announced

Damien Dempsey is ****ing awful, overrated ****e just cos he sings in native Dublin vernacular, wow! Poor line-up to the concert, everyone going will be there for Dylan anyway so it doesn't matter too much

ill probably stop by paddy casey at some point to see what hes like, but skip the rest. and come back for dylan..
hope the other support is actually good.. ..

    From Aiken Promotions site:

"BOB DYLAN will also headline the first ever outdoor concert to take place in Galway...."

What kind of sh1t is this??? Radiohead and Pulp headlined shows in the showgrounds there didn't they ...The Big Day Out or something. Promoters talking through their arse, surprised they haven't said its an intimate stadium venue.

Seems like a decent line-up though.

This gig is still not definite guys, its subject to planning. The residents around Salthill are going mental over the potential noise, drinking, violence, traffic etc on a Sunday night when everyones trying to get up for Monday morning. This stadium is *very* close to houses and some residents homes will be as close to the stage and speakers as most of the crowd attending the gig.

I am looking forward to it, I hope it goes ahead but I'm not holding my breath.

I already have my ticket. I'd say at this stage unless something crazy happens its going ahead.

You'll find a lot of gigs have this "subject to planning" blurb attached, think the RHCP in Phoenix Park had that on the adds at the start too so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

raven136 do you have a link to anywhere where it confirms the rest of that line-up Sheryl Crow etc. this is the only place i've seen it...

Sheryl Crow is supporting The Corrs on the day of this gig.

She is not supporting Bob Dylan.

Don't think so, The Corrs have no gig on the 27th of June

your right about crow and my apologises. On the christy moore website this morning it says he was asked tp play galway and belfast but at the moment nothing has been worked out,but hopefully it will be

Wow, now that would be class. Keep the fingers crossed that they'll confirm a good line-up, i'll leave it a while before getting a ticket anyway

    From Christy Moore website
"Theres talk of a gig with Dylan, that would be an interesting prospect. I was invited to play with him in Belfast and Galway but it did not work out, but now there is another possibility on the horizon. I hope it comes together (Just to clarify, when I say with him I mean on the same bill, there will be no Foster and Allen vibe)"

well that sounds like its not happening so..... :(
