Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mod nominations!!

    Now this is just if we absolutely positivly have to have one!!
    This is how it works, you nominate whoever you want to be mod at on sunday the nominations be put into a pole them we vote!!
    Then if we have a problem we'll know who to submit!!!

    Or we can just to posters who are already mods!!!



    Just a idea don't shoot me!

    I would be interested in modship but i dont think we need someone.

    Only when the flamers turn up will we need one
    also how does it normelly work when a new forum if created?

    Id love to give it a go bu tfear my SGC knowledge would be not up to scratch for the job!
    I think either we ask an Admin for someone or someone goes to him and asks to be mod or he tells us who s gonna be mod!!

    but as User45701 said we don't realy need one.
    apart from the need to sticky posts and get rid of spamers

    As far as I know, moderatorship is "handed down from on high". i.e. the Admins decide who's mod, not the forum members themselves. I don't think this vote is really gonna go anywhere.

    And I don't see why Azezil can't do it - he's already mod of Sci-Fi / Fantasy, doing a pretty good job. I had presumed he would be doing all the moderating that needs to be done.

    well I don't see the need for heavy moderating of the forum so it should be an easy enough job to either give to someone that's already a mod or to wean a new mod into. So Azezil or Bizmark may be good for the job. Oh and i'm still standing by my idea of a gouald mod... but i can only hope... though anubis guards could do the job pretty well, thanks for pointing that out tman :) Anyone know if we can get Mcgyver to mod the board? hehe

    This isn't the appropriate forum for suggesting a mod. There's a thread here on the Feedback/Suggestions board where the appropriate parties can handle it.

    I've already suggested myself there as a candidate, given that I've a genuine liking for the show (I've contributed to gateworld.net's FAQ on the show), and feel I'm responsible enough to handle the role (and would enjoy doing the responsibility).
