anyone hear any more on this?

presume if you have Sky Digital Basic Entertainment package €26 per month one you should get this?
    ***********************************************************

"The Horror Channel launches on digital satellite on 3rd May (previously announced as 29th March) and will be free-to-view on Sky.

The channel will broadcast between 6pm and 5:30am each day and looks like it will certainly be worth tuning in for with a varied package of both film and TV gems. The channel aims to avoid material familiar to audiences, such as the Scream trilogy of films for example, and provide an alternative for viewers with a solid line-up of archive material, cult and obscure films, with a particularly strong element of British horror.

The channel has been working closely with Hammer and are trying to aquire some real gems such as the rarely seen Captain Clegg and Stolen Face as well as potentially tapping into their TV output including Journey To The Unknown and Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense. Aside from Hammer, they have a wealth of other British horror films on the way. Already booked for transmission is the uncut, British version of Dr Terror's House of Horrors, Funnyman, Nothing But The Night, The Spaniard's Curse, City of the Dead, Goodbye Gemini, Assault, Revenge and The Uncanny. On the TV side of things they are looking into acquiring many archive classics such as Mystery & Imagination, Beasts, The Nightmare Man, Jekyll & Hyde, Count Dracula and Frankenstein - The True Story.

American genre material will also form part of the schedule with Karloff, Lugosi and Chaney classics in earlier slots to full on splatter movies after midnight. European horror will also not be forgotten with classics from Bava, Fulci and Argento. Many of these films will be include in the Horror Around The World slot at midnight. Many of the films will also be preceded by introductions giving background information and trivia.

The channel have also confirmed that amongst the gems lined up so far are Dementia 13, Night of the Living Dead, White Zombie, Bloody Birthday, The Incredible Melting Man, Blood Tracks, Evil Ed, The Stepfather, The Devil Bat, The Dark Dealer, Nightmares and Rattlers. Sounds like this is going to be an exciting channel with a varied output that will appeal to horror connoisseurs of all tastes."

Cool, I'm glad it's actually launching. I was disappointed when it was failing to materialise this month.

Haven't heard much about it only that it's an independent channel, not linked with the US Horror Channel launching in America in October. I'll definitely be checking it out when May rolls around :D

What chance it'll turn up on NTL Digital?

    Mike.
