Competition is closed. See bottom of this post for winner.

For those of you who missed out on the last compo here is your chance now.

    Here are the rules.
    - Judges ruling is final in all disputes.
    - You are allowed only one entry as a response on this thread.
    - If you edit your post your disqualified.
    - Your first post which contains a URL is considered your entry.
    - Only the first URL will be taken
    - If the URL doesn't work or is spelt wrong it's still classed as an entry.
    - There is a *GOOD* prize.
    - Competition has nothing to do with the owners of Boards.ie
    - URL cannot be anything which would normally get deleted here (eg. Porn, warez)
    - Deadline will be 16th of March 2001.
    - Peoples entries will be put into this post so you don't have to scroll through.
    - You cannot enter a website you made.
    - You cannot enter a website built for the purpose of winning this competition.

Ok here is the challange. Everyone goes on about the werid links that myself and Castor post here, so I want to see if you's can get up off your backside and do the same.

The object is to find the most obscure and bizarre website possible. I don't want stilesproject type sites please.

A good example would be to say find a site that explained in detail a scientific experiment on determining the terminal velocity of a wombat (I can't find that site so if you can find one your doing well). (Appendum: I was able to find a website where people were discussing this, so that doesn't count.)

However if I say load up SA or a search engine and find the site easily, then you don't score high for that.

You will be scored on orginality and how hard it is to find the URL.

One last thing, I understand that Castor troy could quite easily kick the crap out of any URL posted here but it would be unfair to exclude him from the compo, however I will be taking his l33t URL posting skills into account when judging.

    So get hunting.

    Scoring system.
    (x,y)

x = How bizarrie the page was. This was based on (a) if the person was serious or joking, (b) How original the site was. Pages with just links off don't cut it (object is to find the werid page, not me). Obvious humour pages also got low grades (eg. Human Cheese). Sites that were borderline of what I didn't want posted were graded lower then they should of got.

y = How easy the site was to find. First link was fed into search engines to spider linking pages. If there was a large amount and at least 1 or 2 were well visited pages then it scored low. If the page wasn't found linked, then it's parent page or ajoining pages were checked. After that similar pages were attemped to be found.

Oddly enough Mister Microphone (while being the crappist link in my opinion) won.

So congrats to "Smoke me a kipper", you have just won a copy of Clive Barkers Undying.

Send me on your contact details Kipper.
