I'd expect it at least twice per hour.

    English skills not required.

I'm sure the various surveys on recruitment websites would better answer this question but roughly an experienced(6 - 10 yrs) quality developer could make 50 to 60 an hour. .Net developers are hot right now, VB6.0 is heading down the way, anyone with strong skills in Peoplesoft or big proprietry packages like that can also do very well.

Should of left the original link, at least for a while.

Found that. 50-60 euro an hour though? Must be contract work.

I was making that last year working for a company on the west coast, companies in Dublin were offering more before I left, so yes there is work in Ireland at those kind of rates. This is contract rates I am talking about, salaries are lower but have some benefits.

Actually no, it was a VB, ASP, Oracle contract. The big problem they had was finding somebody with strong VB, ASP and PL/SQL skills in that geographic area. Companies outside dublin often have trouble picking up good people because most of the experienced talent are centered around dublin. In this case it was a large multinational who now use mainly Indian programmers, not just because of money but because they simply can't find contractors with the skill levels they need. I actually got hired purely based on a phone interview, never even met face to face until the day I started work. The downside for me was I hadn't done VB or ASP in a couple of years, all .Net for me now since Beta1 came out so it was a step backwards and it ended up being horrible going back to classic ASP and VB6.0. .Net contracts are making very good money now both in Ireland and the USA so for all you Microsoft developers I highly reccommend trying to get .Net experience.
