Circle-hook Versus J-hook

We're running an article next week on our site about circle hooks.
Given that they're big business in the US with quotes from people
saying they increase catches by up to 68% (where they got a percentage
that close I don't know). And also they seem to be gaining followers
    closer to home.
I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to use them in Ireland.
I've recently purchased some to try out on dogfish and other "animal"
    fishing expeditions.
    Any views?

    Thanks in advance

    Paul

    I generally use Kamasan hooks

    Mostly the B980 in sizes 16 - 10

I've had great success tench hunting with the B983 in a size 14

This weekend I will be mostly trying out the B520 size 12 and 14

I found that the smaller hook size on the B980 the less bites I'm turhing into fish on the hook, so I'm trying out the B520's this weekend.

I've checked every tackle shop that I've stopped in for some more B983's it seems I picked them up quite by accident, because none of my regular tackleshops carry them.
I've tried Henrys Tackle on ballybough, Rory's in Temple Bar, O Malleys in Mullingar and Toomans in Carrick on Shannon.
I've never lost a fish on these it seems that the extra bend at the hook tip twoards the shank helps keep the fish on the hook.
I've never made one pack of hooks last so long. :D
