The Irish Times reports that the Irish government is being left out of pocket by Eircom, due to the telecoms company's decision to register the business in Britain rather than Ireland. The Exchequer is already poorer by almost EUR4 million after two days of "grey market" trading in the stock, and it is likely to lose out on more than EUR22 million a year in stamp duty payments on share transactions in the company.
