XD cards to portable HD ?

I use a Fuji digital camera which uses XD cards.
I've found myself taking one of my laptops on vacation with me so I can transfer photos from the single 256MB XD card I've got.

    I have two options :
buy more XD cards (get a couple of 1GB cards)
buy some sort of device that allows me to transfer a couple hundred MB to a larger USB/Firewire storage device

    so - any suggestions ?

if I could figure out a way to use the disk space on my 30GB iPod that would be great. i don't need to view the photos - only need to store them until I get home. On a typical 2 week holiday I take about 1 or 2 gb of photos.

    Check this website:
    http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/

It will give you a good overview of most of the PSU (Portable Storage Unit). If you are using a Xdcard, you'll need to get a CF to Xdcard or Smart to Xdcard adapter because (I think) none of the PSU will have a Xdcard reader.

Once you find what will suit you, shop around!

cheers - exactly what I need.
I'll get a Compact Flash adapter for my XD card.

Turns out that there is a belkin media reader add-on for the iPod that will do the job (but I need to confirm that it will allow me use a CF adapter). Failing that I'll get one of those cool PSU
