    You need a Frozen ATPL (Airline Transport Pilots Licence).

    That involves having a CPL/Multi/IR licence and also have passed the 14 ATPL written examinations - pass mark 75%.

    CPL = Commercial pilots licence.
    Multi = Multi-engine rating.
    IR = Instrument rating.

    A good level of education is required, although nothing exceptional - you don't have to be a college graduate for example.

    The IAA are the licensing authority for pilots in Ireland.http://www.iaa.ie/secondarynavigation/FAQs/showfaqs.asp?FaqID=542.

    Any more questions feel free to ask.

    Probably best in ireland is www.flyinginireland.com to find out where to train, ask them their or search the archives and you'll find it, otherwise send me a message and I'll explain...

    ... Always happy to help, thats why I became a pilot :D
