    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this is secure in hiding the e-mail addresses ? How does it work ? I sent out an e-mail to someone and put someone else on the BCC (Just to see what was said and so on) Now the other person is hinting that they know it was sent to this person.

Does BCC Just slap someone elses e-mail in the mail headesr or what ?

P.s Yes I should of just used forward:dunno:

AFAICR, the BCC field is processed and removed at the outgoing mail server so the To and CC ppl don't see it, even when they check the headers. The 'other person' is probably just making a best guess, calling your bluff, whatever. The BCC recipient can, on the other hand, see the list of other recipients.

[Edit: just tested a bcc, and the BCC field was stripped from the message sent TO]

    It is what it's.

no one see's the bcc: list. even other people in it ...
every one sees the to: list and the cc: list

you sent a mail to A and B

    To: A
    BCC: B

B knows that the mail was sent to A and because B got the mail knows that it was sent to him as well

A only knows that it was sent to her, She has no idea that it went to B as well.

which someone is the other one?

If the one in the To: feild is hinting then they're either guessing or the BCC: person told them.
If the BCC: preson is hinting, well then they no cause it says
    TO: "to persons name here"
    FROM: "your name here"
    on the email.
