advice needed

I've got some pictures of cells and I want to edit them on computer so that hey are made up entirely of ones and zeros in random order so that the darkest parts of the opicture are made up of overlapping digits and in the lighter areas the digits are further apart. Does any one know of a program that might do something like this for me.

I want it to look kind of like the drawing attached

Sorry, can't help ya but if you find out, lemme know. Maybe it's some kind of plugin?

Speaking of which, loads of times in Grafik magazine, there's loads of print media that look like filter effects, but they're custom filter effects. Where can ye get those?

Don't know of a program that'll redraw it for you. I'd try doing it in illustrator, you could experiment creating a Brinary code brush or just place by hand.

Made some brushes in illustrator made up of ones and zeroes. It's slow but it looks good. Thanks for the help.

There's some problem with the file for my cell picture when I try to open it it just says "cannot open illustration". that's hours of work lost. Heres a linear image i did of a heart.

Monkey, do you know how to make patterns in illustrator? I mean I know HOW to make them. Just, like, you know complex, say, diagonal ones? Or victorian wallpaper. Any good online tutorials?
