    Was wondering if anyone watched Monkey on chanel 4 Tuesday nights at 1:10 it’s a Japanese show made maybeye 15 years ago. It about a man that is susposed to be a part monkey who was born out of a stone egg who travels with a fish spirit and other intresting characters. Even though the special effects are doggy I find the show is well written a little funny and if you know a but about Buddhism it has a deep spirtual element, there is a but though it may take a eposide or two to get into it and I advice anyone watch the intro where there describing the story it cracks me up every time just something I had to share.

    i used to love it when i was younger i've caught it a few times late night on ch4 now and it still is really good.

    used be on at teatime on BBC2 in the eighties - I loved it
    caught it a few years ago when C4 repeated it and finally got to see the opening episode where Monkey is banished from heaven - the whole thing is totally nuts!

    i think you can get the whole thing on DVD.
