The start date will depend on the availability of the successful candidate. There is no fixed date as such, so long as it is not November :)

Assuming an application was sent in...when should one expect a reply/interview?

I have been pleasantly surprised by the interest, that’s why some people who have applied haven’t heard anything yet, everyone will get a reply by Wednesday at the latest, interviews will be before Easter.

Hello Willie, I have 3 years of computer science degree in UCC (going into 4th year in October), top marks so far. Currently finishing year's work experience with Oracle. Have computer interests outside of college, did Java in our course. Have networking experience from working 3 years part-time in the IT support helpdesk in UCC. Is it worth it for me to put a CV together and hand it in, or do the other applicants have more qualifications? Availabe to start June/July.
