radeon 8500 problematic

i bought a cheapass connect 3d radeon 8500 128ddr and it wont do textures well it plays ut2k3 grand but it wont do gta III or vice city and it wont play battlefield properly either the textures are all wrong and see through

im getting a new card but i was going to put it in a second machine

any ideas is this a common problem with the 8500 and is there a solution?

any light shed on this would be great thanks:)

win xp pro sp1
abit kd-7 motherboard

i suspose that is kinda weird as they are all big games which a card manufacturer would not want issues with and would be sorted quickly. are you on the cats 4.3 at the minute and has this problem occured on every single driver you have tried?

You're not overclocking are ya? Even if you arent, try downloading one of the radeon overclocking utilities and see if the texture problems go away if you underclock the card.

yeah its happened with every driver version i got still no joy


i might try underclocking though looks like it might work thanks squirrel
