I have a Scott DVD-Multiplayer 839 standalone player, and i was wondering which format is compatible with the player. Should i go +R or -R. I've read condtradictory reports on te internet, so if anyone here owns one, and could give me a proper report that'd be great.

    Thanks

I have one (Power City Rulez! :D). I can play DVD-R made with a Pioneer A04. It works perfectly.

    I never tried a DVD+R...

If you can maybe you can choose a DVD-R and DVD+R burner.

its a friends DVD burner i'm going to be using (transferring 6 DVD's of stuff via USB1 is gonna be a BITCH), so i don't know which format the burner supports. How can i check? Its a new Dell computer, so if that helps you...

Other than that, how can i check, without going out and buying some -R discs and finding they won't burn.

Powercity rules! Only 60 euro for mine :-)

And where can i pick up the same brand of -R discs you use... and what brands are known to be the most compatible in burners/players
