    Hi Folks
I have a problem in outlook express which nobody can solve
    Here`s an example:
Im at my work pc and send an e-mail to my home pc with a notepad file attached.
when i get home and receive all, the e-mail is retreived but the attachment is not.
there is no paperlip beside the mail
I can receive all my other mails from work and elsewhere with various attchments inc word and excel.
there must be someone out there who can help.
Our IT guys at work reckon its eircoms server but i seriously doubt it cause all other mails/attachments come thru except a notepad attachment wont

btw..2 other colleagues at work have the same prob when they are on their home pc.they cant receive the attachments either.!

are our IT guys stumped or dumping the issue????
Is the prob on our work server???

someone out there can help please

    regards
    eirlink

What happens if you send an email with a txt attachment from your work account to a Yahoo or similar account?

(in other words, take OE out of the equation)

You could also try renaming it to see if it makes any difference - instead of .txt try .prn or .asc or whatever really. I take it you aren't saving the text files in Unicode or anything daft like that.

(ok you'll need to associate .prn with notepad or rename it before you can read it)
