Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Have recently started reading some of these books (due to a job which permits reading a lot )
Have read Witches Abroad (oh how o wet meself on mention of ballistic garlic sausage), Equal Rites, Faust (eric) and in middle of reading Lords and Ladies and have Carpe Jugulum to go. Then i have to buy more these loaners.

Is there any specific to Death although he only says a few words in each i have read i would like to read one with more of him it.

    These my 1st Discworld books.

Off the top of my head, "Mort" and "Reaper Man".

Mort is about Death's Apprentice. I remeber being unimpressed, but I can't remeber why.

I think Reaper Man is when Death goes ona sabatical or Holiday, or something along those lines. It was pretty funny.

I believe Death features a fair bit in Soul Music also. My memory isn't what it once was...

Reaper man is pretty much centred on him.

Mort is the next one I would imagine.

The "Susan" books he plays a much bigger part.

    The Hogfather
    Soul Music
    The Thief of Time

Aye the death books are enjoyable, lot of people like the character. If you havent read them yet you should chek out the guards books aswell : Guards Guards, Feet of Clay, Men At Arms and Noght watch.

the death books go Mort, Reaper Man, Soul Music, Hogfather and Thief of Time

He makes a cameo in every book.
They are a set that i recommend reading in order as soul music/hog father refer back to Susans parents and history although there's nothing stopping you rereading them, I find that you get more in them on each read through.

The Death of Rats is explained in Reaper man

Reaper Man has death as the main character, my advice if money is tight is to try the local library or second hand books shops (though why anyone would sell their discworld stuff is beyond me:confused: )

Otherwise read the ones you have again, you'll find new jokes, quirkes and insights with each reading.

If you love death then read 'Death's Domain'. It comes with a map of his house.

I have to buy Reaper Man, espessally if Death is the main character. I'm nearly finished The Light Fantastic and i've already bought Equal Rites, so i might get either Reaper Man or Mort after Equal Rites.

Just bought Reaper Man myself. Haven't started reading it yet since I'm reading them in the order listed at the front (I know you don't have to but I want to all the same) so Guards Guards is first up.
