right, here's what my blue affinity deck looks like at the moment

4 Myr Enforcer
4 Broodstar
4 Ornithopter
4 Thoughtcast
4 Thirst for Knowledge
4 Mana Leak
4 Override
3 Pyrite Spellbomb
3 AEther Spellbomb
3 Lightning Greaves
4 Seat of the Synod
4 Darksteel Citadel
4 Great Furnace
6 Island
1 Glimmervoid (replacing islands with glimmervoids as i get more)

What do ye reckon i should have in my sideboard? At the moment i'm leaning towards assert authorities, shrapnel blasts and pyroclasms, maybe grab the reins as well. Any advice would b appreciated

i personally think that crystal shard is muy handeh if ur playing against a beatdown deck. it allows u to block with ur creature, then return them to ur hand b4 he is sent to the graveyard, henceforth lets say ur opponent attacks with a 4/4 fatty, u can block with two froggies or an enforcer, then use shard to return to hand, then frop them back down next turn for cheap thanks to affinity. its perfect, and it has the added advantage of forcing ur opponent to leave one mana open in case u target his creatures, giving u a slight time advantage.
wrath of marit lage could also b cool in case of playing against red

if i'm playing any decent red deck, wrath of marit lage for 5 mana will come too late in the game to be useful. Crystal shard looks ok, could replace some counters with it if i'm playing a deck with nothing to threaten my broodstar

yeah, the wrath of marit lage is a bit costly, but then again all finisher cards are. its handy to have to one side, although maybe something like Hibernation would b better for Affinity, since it can have problems against a fast green deck wit good mana acceleration.

there arent many competitive green decks at the moment as far as i know, just 12 post and the creature u need to worry about in that deck is a big hulking colossus

a card like pyrostatic pillar might help hose out some weenie players. since most of ur good spells have affinity with high base cost, theyll avoid the nasty life loss

and i also think its a bit of a waste splashing red just for pyrite spellbomb. id go solid blue/artifact if i were u, itd give u room for assert authorities, and mayb u could throw in a few chromatic spheres
