Laptop seems to have broken off the USB port.
Tried fixing but one of the connectors fell out , no CD drive on lappie so was using external USB CDRW. Plsstic connector broke but still 4 pins left one a bit shorter than others.

Anyone any ideas how to fix as i kinda need the USB working.

if ur laptop has a pmcia slot u can get a twin usb 2.0 card for it in maplins think about 40 euro,

u will need a floppy drive to upload the drivers, if no floppy drive get a friend to burn the drivers onto a cd for ya
    cheers

You might be able to bodge the USB port back together as they are quite simple connection wise. Perhaps you could try atttaching a small USB extension cable to the port on a semi permenant basis.

NB. Try to find a way to get it fixed properly before bodging it.
