Hi everyone,

Could I pick your (considerable) collective brains? Have got by so far with a mp3-CD player (bought for €50 last Chrimbo from LIDL, Gott bless them in himmel...

Now getting spoilt and wouldn't half fancy (for my upcoming birthday-pressie-to-myself... ) — getting some sort of sleek little ultra-portable yoke, ideally one that you can get d'wireless on, too...

Anyone see a "better bang for your buck" out there than the Creative Rhomba, 256Mb version? €160 delivered from Komplett, going a bit cheaper on eBay if you can be orsed with all that, etc. Originally I'd been thinking iPod/Zen/Nomad, etc., but have come around to the view that — since I usually spend hours every day in front of the confluther — there's not really that much point in carrying around 5/10/20/40Gb's worth on me... (not to mention battery life problems with the iPod, or so I hear? And sorry, the mini-iPod is just too girly ...I'm not that secure! )

Besides all which — if the thing gets robbed, dropped into a pint glass or just plain "dies" the week after the warranty expires, better to write off €100-€150 than €300-400...
