I have a dell 2.4ghz pc. I was looking around the bios and hyperthreading is disabled. Should i enable this, will it improve/lessen performance?
    Thanks

If you can enable it, do so. It'll give you a nice performance increase. Hyper-Threading is a reasonably new technology that almost performs like 2 cpus under certain situations.

    Hyper Threading

Jesus, i enabled it about 3 hours ago in the bios, loaded up fine, said it was installing some software, then said to restart. So i restart, then nothing.....black screen asking me to load in safe mode or in normal. I tried both numerous times, but it just hung, as if it were frozen. I feared the worst at this stage, but did a repair installation and its working now. Needless to say i disabled it this time!
    Very wierd
