Did anyone already see that movie ? Remake of classic gothic movie from French regisseur Mathieu Kassovitz. I have read really bad critics about this movie, still Im going to see it of course, I think it starts middle of April. I was just wondering if anyone has already seen it and has an opinion on the movie ?

Have a look at the horror forum, theres a link there to a really good trailer for Gothics. It looks good, in the trailer at least!

It's fairly poor really. Horror-by-numbers that fails to deliver anything other than a couple of shocks, no genuine creepy moments.

The best creepy thriller/horror that I saw recently was Identity, brill stylish movie with a great cast.

Just saw this this afternoon; damn, it's bad. Its main problem, I reckon, is that of every hollywood horror movie; it relies too much on the 'Jones the Cat' effect; scary music, followed by something appearing suddenly on the screen; a cat, an owl, occasionally something relevent to the plot.

The film seems all the worse as it's only a few days since I saw Dark Water; great movie. It seems that rather than examining the Japanese horror movies for clues, though, our hollywood chums just opt for a remake instead.

Its dull, halle doesn't look hot, its predictable, Peneleope feckin Cruz is in it, its not scary and Halle doesn't look hot in it.:(

Yeah it starts off well, as it's obviously got a pre-made plot, but as the hollywood effort takes more prominence from about half way through it goes to ****. Basically Halle doing the "woman in distress" [and obviously Oscar standard] role, they through in too much side-lines and made it needlessly complicated. It was good to start but definitely got up it's own ass for trying to have more depth than either the writers or actresses could muster.

Yeah good for it was, twisty and diverting. But penelope cruz really got on my wick for some reason I think it was because her impression of a talentless piece of cardboard was shoved down my throut for most of the film. but I enjoyed it while I was in the cinema jumpy fun! also while I was watching it some guy laughed his ass off like he was watching a jim carrey movie every time something scary/violent/gross/jumpy/plot devolping happened. weird. laughing guy if you are reading this I would still really like to know whats so funny? mind you I'm with you on halle berrys hair.
