If you are longer than one year with $ky bring the box but buy a 1 meter dish in your local shop there. I think 1 meter will be fine. BBC,RTE,TV 3 are on 2 D which is the weakest satellite on Astra 2.
Look at this http://skydigitalfaq.cjb.net/ and feel free to ask more questions.

Also change your subscription payment to a credit card, or keep you Irish bank ac in credit to ensure all the subs are kept upto date. In that way Sky cannot tell you are no longer resident in Ireland and you get to keep all your subscription channels.

If you can stand their rejection of your naïve ignorance, and you can stick their hostility against someone who offended them, a 100cm dish should suffice ;)

Hi, I got Sky in Germany 2 months ago and it's working perfectly with a 1m dish. Thanks for the help JD in Belgium. I had to get connected which was no problem with a mobile with the id switched off. Friends of mine here(Baden Würrtemberg) brought their reciever with them from Ireland where they had been connected, plugged in here and have had no problems.
Good luck.(The Bavarian girls make up for the rest of the ****!!)
