IRC Channel for this board

I'm thinking of trying to set up a star trek irc channel for this board on quakenet. #startrek.ie perhaps? Good idea? if so, try get as many users as ya can... cus if it gets popular enough i'll try reg it. Also data, would ya be willing to help out?

i know nothing about chat rooms i never had a intyerest in them but i might get that irc yoke if u set this up.

eh i know nothing about IRC tbh, like how to connect to rooms and stuff, if i go on boards i use the link from here

but i can install it and be shown how to use it i'd log in no bother and chat and help out and stuff no worries

There are threads on the IRC forum about clients you can use and instructions for getting onto quakenet.

personnally I find it a pain to connect to especially from college

obviously one person doesnt matter in the great scheme of things but I would really like to join

I downloaded Mirc and i dont have a clew how to get into any "channels" or rooms or whatever.

Just to let you guys know, theres a massive startrek room on efnet. Just looked and at the moment theres 93 people in there at the moment. They are setting up an RPG at the moment and *i think* theres one on DAL net and they have trivia! Check it out
