depends on what you're talking about, but there's no way they'll pierce you down there for another year anyway cause you're under 18

i've heard there's something like a 50% chance of losing feeling with clit piercings, however anything else is supposed to increase pleasure. depends on whether you're into that kind of thing or not.

whatever floats your boat i guess. some men might be put off by it though.

Very few piercers will pierce the clitoris itself, as you can lose feeling in it. Most clit piercings are actually hood piercings. They are very sensitive while fresh, after a while not so noticable.

The girls I've met who have genital piercings have always turned out to be a little bit... psycho.

Of course, I don't like lumping everyone in the same bracket, but they all did seem to be very insecure/needy/...crazy.

I can put my hand up and say i would be the type of fella put off by it, even tho ive a nipple piercing and like piercings and tattoos i still would just be afraid of hurting my g/f if she had it, shes after asking what i think and i just said agh yea once you want to do it ill like it... but in my head im thinking OH NO! ... without getting to graphic surely if they have a piercing you cant be very rough or there would be positions that wouldnt be safe?

Maybe im just uneducated but with my nipple piercing(the bar) i know how soar it is to catch it on things etc.

agh yea of course im gay cause i think its sexy but i dont want to hurt my g/f in the act. i told her she can get it done no problem and havnt told her im kind of against the idea, but if people with this piercing done can tell me they have never had complications and that it doesnt restrict any positions or roughness haha then ill support it ... whats the percentage that they can loose feeling? and are you just making that up that if you take it out the feeling returns back to original levels?

its something like 10% of all clit piercings lose the feeling staright after piercing but generally its a safe piercing,it all depends on wherer you go to get it done,clean needles etc etc.
Yeah if you remove the piercing after a while(not too long)the orignal senses SHOULD come back,dont quote me on that tho

It's nothing to do with clean needles. You can lose sensitivity if any nerves are severed by the needle. For this reason piercers are quite reluctant to perform clit piercings. You're all confusing 'clitoral piercings' with 'clitoral hood piercings'.

I've met a few girls with clit piercings and they vary from the shy to the downright nymphomaniacs, mostly the latter. In this country there's a still a bit of a stigma with genital piercings, particularly with men. Like everything, they love you when you're sexy, and resent you for it too. If you want to get it done, get it done for yourself. I'm like most guys, who are completely open to clit hood piercings, in fact I can honestly say they make for a lot of fun, and phenomenal foreplay. I reckon go for it, but keep it hushed, there's nothing like the surprise when the lucky person finds out.

<ok, so great topic to pick as a newbie - hi all - but I saw this and had to comment before I fell of my chair laughing.>

I've had a clit hood piercing for about 5 years now (HCH, ie horizontal), and I have NEVER been hurt by it (and I do play rough at times). Let's face it NEARLY ALL clit piercings are actually clit hood piercings, which means that they are almost completely painless to have done (it's just skin - a lot less painful than an ear or belly piercing), and they heal up bloody quickly. The fun is in the fact that although the piercing is just through skin (and no, you can't rip it or pull it out - unless you are totally determined to - certainly not by accident <cue weird horror stories no doubt>), but the positioning of the piercing means that the ball closure rests over the clit - that's where the fun is. You're probably right about the losing of sensation though - not losing any sensation from the clit itself of course, but when I first had it done I couldn't even travel by bus without totally losing concentration, and now I seem to be living a relatively normal life... !!!

Your girlfriend would enjoy it very much, I totally recommend it, and no doubt if your girlfriend is having more fun, so will you!

I would consider getting it done, but I do a lot of horse riding so I would imagine it would hurt if you land down heavily on it. Does any one have any experience of it?.

Hi Doc Spoc, you might have read my earlier post, the horizontal clit hood piercing is very simple, doesn't hurt, and heals very quickly. Funny how I've had that done but the thought of getting my tongue pierced makes me cringe...to me that sounds a lot more extreme! I never had any trouble with infection with my piercing, after all the ring does not go through much skin, it's a lot easier to do / heal than something like a belly or tongue piercing where the jewelry goes through a lot of flesh. It was a while ago, but I think it was all healed up within a couple of days. Just keep it clean! LOL! Salt water works a treat.

I had mine done in Brighton, England, and it was a funny experience, but the piercer was very professional! *giggle*. While I was waiting I ended up chatting to a girl who was getting the top of her ear done and was a bit nervous. She asked me to go in with her and talk to her while she had it done, which I did. She then asked what I was having done and whether I wanted her to stay with me. I told her, and said that I was fine on my own and didn't need my hand held. Never seen anyone look so relieved as she shot out of the room....... :eek:
