About 3 days ago I noticed that my right shoulder was sore from time to time, and that my range of motion was not as good, but I thought nothing of it. Since then it has greadually got worse. I thought I might have slept wrong, whch has happened before but it usually goes away pretty quickly. The past two nights I haev had to sleep completely straight on my back, as it hurts if I try to turn over or curl up. My arm is only really comfortable when it it above shoulder height, or stretched out in front. When I stand up and let my arms hang naturally, my left arm will hang straight down, with my palm agaist my leg, however my right arm hangs not completely straight down, but out to the right, and the palm of my hand faces more forward than backwards. When I move my hand back to where it should be it hurts.

Like many of you i'm sure, I spend a lot of time at a computer. At work I have pretty good set up, correct positioning, and have never had any pain as a result, however my position when at home is not quite as good. I usually sit at an angle, my chest and legs pointing at maybe a 30-40 degree angle to the left, and then my right arm would be outstretched to the mouse about 30-40 degrees to the right. The reason I never thought it was RSI was becasue I have had this setup for years with no problems. However, I left my job 10 days ago, so whenever I am at home I am usually sitting in this position.

Do you think this could be RSI or am I more likely to just have slept in a bad position? Will I wait and see if it goes away or should i see a doctor? Has this happeded to any of you before?

Sorry if this is not the right place to be posting, but RSI is usually linked to PC's
