    My poor ould 3-4 year ould gateway finally bit the big on there on Saturday, think the mobo packed it in.

    The problem now is I need a decent spec pc pronto :dunno:

    I dont wanna build from scratch ( i might try throw a new mobo etc into the gateway later in the year) but I'm gonna salvage the decent kit from the late gateway (audigy2, ge4 mx460, hdd 's etc). We'll use the pc for gaming and a bit of fluting around with music and video input

    I'm looking at one the athlon boxes from elara that goes a little something like this:
    ANtec sonata case 380w 4x5.25
    Asus A7N8X mobo
    Athlon Xp 300 barton 2.167 Ghz
    OCZ 512mb DDR400

    sooo.... anyone have any comments on elara or their gear?? In particular the A7N8X motherboard they use??

    The system you mentioned is good and the MB is one of the best for the Althon if you dont want to build then go with them,
