on the northside there is a suitable golf centre out kind of sutton direction called Deer Park which offers a nice 9 hole course which would be suitable for beginners and also a slightly longer 18 hole course - still suitable for novices at the right time.

I reccommend mid week golf for starting out cos there are some real idiots who will not tolerate being delayed! but if u work mon-fri try late afternoon at the weekend.

South of the liffey City West has added a second course which is shorter and easier than the original which is a beautiful track in the summer. There is also Oldfield - now the new home of ballinascorney golf club up past marley park in rathfarnam. 9 hole course with no par 5's and ideal for starting out!

Hope ive been of some help

sure pm me if you've any questions

Elm Green Golf Centre near Blanch has a 18 hole course, a pitch and putt and a driving range,

Very good for beginners as not many hazards.

Yeah, I know a few ladies who seem to like Oldfield in Rathfarnham.
