Probably should be in HW Modding? Motherboard monitor is certainly the way to go, however, you also need to enter in the different temp sensors according to your winbond (or whatever) monitoring chip. On the motherboard monitor website, there is a list of chips, but they only give two temp readings.. CPU and Case (as far as I remember). Are there any good websites to check for more info, aside from the motherboard manufacturer webby, as that doesnt have the info I need?

that sotware did the trick, i curently have a amd1.1 idling at 50c/49c CPU and 35c case which seem a bit high i think? and an amd 1.3 idling at 32c cpu and case, which peaked at 58c cpu last night encoding a dvd. but the case is currently off that one.

Been using that software for a while and its very handy having the cpu/case on the taskbar :) Nothing like see 33/30 for cpu/case to put the mind at ease :)

Using mbm myself. Have it monitoring my hard drive too. All in the taskbar. Although sometimes if i run mbm with winbond hardware doctor going my cpu fan often just switches off, dunno why:confused:
