today i found an article on the BBC news website about romanian death rights, i found it very wierd indeed but still not something that i would not want a country to join the eu over, just wondering what opinions everyone else has on this? should romania not allowed to be part of the european union because of some their traditions?

If they took a look at Irish drinking rights, they might think twice about keeping us.

    That's R-I-T-E-S, folks.

Agreed victor: not to mention our child abusing and money laundering, embezzling and stupidity rites.

Sure there's an amount of unsavoury things going on in many countries, but I don't see how it helps to exclude the countries in question from the EU...? All that does is ensure that they'll keep happenning, no?

I'd imagine Ireland was pretty colourful as far as ritual wierdness was concerned before we joined the EU, ahem.

    ;-)
