How do I relax for my boyfriend

    I have a new boyfriend
It's the most exciting thing thats ever happened to me and I've been out with him just a few times so far and getting on like a house on fire.

The thing is, he's coming over tomorrow tonight (I'm cooking him a meal) and he wants to stay the night.

For the first time in my life, I'm really, really nervous bordering on feeling sick and I don't want to mess up.

He's really sensitive and has already told me that, I'm the first guy that he's been serious about.
He's been very huggy and feely, this last few times we've been out, so I know what he probably has in mind for later on

Has anyone any advice on how to relax, and stop feeling nervous about this.

Take your time, don't dwell on it, if it happens let it come naturally when you're both ready, if not sharing a bed and just snuggling can be good too :)

If you're sure that you want to progress things that far, then a bottle of wine would be the obvious thing :) Be careful with the alcohol though. Make sure you know your limits. You want to be relaxed, but you don't want to be drunk. In the mean time, don't bother trying to relax. It'll all be good, so you've nothing to worry about. Just enjoy the giddiness and those butterflies in your stomach. It's too rare a feeling not to cherish.

Good luck with dinner, and enjoy yourself!

Unless he's a right cocky bastard he is going to be nervous too. Its your domain, your flat, you are cooking the dinner, your bed. You are more in control of the situation than him.

Knowing the fact that you are in control more and the fact that he's bound to be as nervous should maybe help you releax. But whats wrong with being nervous ? Its a sign of something good in a way. Means you care for him and want to make sure you both have a good time.

When I'm really nervous I slow everything down. I take deep slow relaxing breaths and they help a lot. Anyway by the time the meal ends you'll find you won't be nervous at all.

    Enjoy it.

Sounds like this is a first for you, sorry you'll need a lady to help you on that one.

Other than that - if your getting on deadly, don't worry about it. You'll be relaxed by the time dinner is over, and then just go with the flow. You can't really mess up if he really likes you, he'll be happy with whatever he gets ;)

I have nothing to add to what the rest of the lads suggested, just take your time and no more than one bottle of wine!

don't forget the candles and maybe a little insence (not too strong), it makes for a romantic atmosphere and can be quite relaxing

good luck, it's always wonderful when the butterflies get going, enjoy it :)

I was going to go on about vaginismus, something I read in FHM or summat..........but I see I misread the thread title :D:D

I think you'll find that Rock Climber is a guy and not a girl. Although since we're just giving general advice on feeling relaxed about the evening I think everything applies (bar the references to vaginismus)
