I want to create a link between my house and an office I will be using for a few months. I don't think it is worth ordering dsl for the period of time and the wait will only annoy me.
I want to go around half a km and there are buildings in the way. Even worse, it is downhill from the house over a slope. I think my only option is to hope for a non line of sight connection. Are there any options open to me?
Is any .11 technology better at this than another? Which should I try, a, b or g?
Is there anything else that would do it at a reasonable cost?
Is it possible to bounce it off buildings successfully? There is a church steeple in clear view of both locations.

The answer is unfortunately no to all questions, unless you climb the steeple in the middle of the night and put a couple of direction antennae and something to link them your shit out of luck
