    yeah, i noticed that aswell. Not a good thing. It better not be a crackdown on bittorrent. How will i get my fully legal programs now?

    By 'all' I presume you mean suprnova. If you read their front page you'll see they're moving IP addresses and are having downtime as a result. Novasearch is/has been fine

    Off the top of my head, TCP 6881-6999 ... I think. I'm sure google will have a concrete answer.

    yee are both correct i believe, the required ports to be open depend on the client being used. so could be 6899 or 6999

    I find that most downloads using bit torrent start off fairly slow but pick up to reasonable speeds after a couple of minutes - unless there's bugger all seeders for the file.
