Vaio laptop Problem

I've this Sony Vaio laptop problem for few months but just too busy to sort it out. But after a long time I'm still not too sure where's the problem lying.

Basically the laptop starts to turn itself off from time to time. Don't know is it an overheat problem or not. But the most annoying thing to do is in order to turn it back on I have to take out the lithium battery inside and put it back!?! Another problem it also got is the battery won't work with the laptop anymore. But I'm sure it is not the battery problem because I've tried it on someother Vaio and it works grand.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

p.s. sorry for the mod that I've post this in the wrong forum before

Must be some sort of switch that gets triggered if it requires you to take out the battery.
Did you check out the sony vaio FAQ page?
