    I used partition magic 8 with my 200 gig drive, which i had cut into partitions, and suddenly i deleted, the other partitions and i'm stuck with 130 gig partition, and what's the only partition i see! all others dissapeared! it's like drive became 130 gig! :(

    glad you sorted it, happened me before so now i always make a rescue diskette and wouldn't you bleeding know it - no further problems, typical, oops end of rant

    do i have to buy partition magic 8 as i cant find any links to it for free?
    or alternative, does nay1 know of any free partitioning software?

    Mandrake Linux install CD has a handy bootable partition program..

    I've heard of a linux dis called knoppix. Its an os that boots from a cd. Its open source and has a partition prog on it thats similar to partition magic, cept its free! also since it boots from a cd there's no need to install the os on the hd if u don't want so you don't have to alter your computer at all! You gotta love linux! :D

    took me a while to find hirens boot cd but i got it in ~25minutes

    UltimateBootCD (~50Mb) is another useful and somewhat easer to find alternative. It includes a wide variety of useful tools and the homepage has links to all the tools included should you fancy a smaller download of a specific item.
