a bit amateurish as things go but this is as about as productive as im gonna get in the state i'm in this morning. i happens to most of us at one point or another, so feel free to add to it or edit it or stick your own experience in.

    hungover,

i wake at twelvish, my eyes creak open and then slam shut to keep out the soft
yet blinding light. i lie still, my water deprived body overheating to a point
of discomfort because im under the blankets still fully clothed.
theres a dull pain banging on the back of my eyeballs, probably my brain getting
revenge on me for drinking so ****ing much. my lips are cracked and i try to wet
them, but theres nothing there but a coarse carpet covering my tongue.
i moan at the stupidity of my thirst last night.
i get a flashback of a girl in the pub, i cant remember what i slurred at her,
but i can remember the severely unimpressed look on her face.
the alarm clock jumps on, the radio is way too loud. i flail my arm until i hit
the snooze button and an empty glass beside it, thankfully it doesn't break.
    10 more minutes of snooze.
i lie still again and remember a panadol in the drawer across from my bed.
i misjudge the extremity of my hangover and i raise my head. the pain behind my
eyes doubles and triples forcing me to fall back down so hard i feel like i've
    submerged my head in water.
i give up and close my eyes, i'll try again in a few hours.
