Dave Mustaine has posted the following at Megadeth.com:
    "Droogies!
I have just been listening to what seems like a dumptruck full of outtakes and rare tracks for the re-releases.
Most of them were incomplete takes of what you may already have, but I did find something that I know you may not have . . . unless of course ya stole it when I wasn't looking.
How does Rust In Peace demos from when Marty first joined sound?
I thought so, and can ya sense me smiling too?
Can you feel the tension mounting?
I am getting behind schedule due to the continuous archiving problems that the record company has had with the tapes and hard drives that they are sending out to me.
There is one last hope for locating the MIA files for this project and that is getting in touch with the studios or the engineers or producers that did the projects with me, and seeing if they have a copy of the tapes there in their vaults too.
My management has located Max Norman, so I am told, but this still has not aided me in locating ‘Take No Prisoners’. I also have not been able to find Billy Moss, the studio owner of Vintage Studios where I did the MD.45 record. I guess he is up in Sedona, Arizona making a studio for the people up there who believe in aliens.
To be specific, I have not found the vocals for ‘TNP’ and all of the vocals are missing for the MD.45 project. But I will not give up, no matter what.
I know that in the event that I had to re-sing the song, or decide to skip making it sound as killer as everything else, hell . . . I’d just re-sing it.
Some good news is that I finished Countdown and am only officially four days behind my desired schedule. This is sooo worth it. I have found a bunch of outtakes, and rare tracks, as well as some demos of songs before I went into the studio for each respective album.
This week I went out to the Magic convention in Las Vegas and met with some of the merchandisers that are going to be manufacturing the new Megadeth merchandise. This is also for MD.45, Dave Mustaine, Chris Olson Custom Choppers, and a few other top secret things that I am working on.
For the new releases this summer, I am trying to chock them full of good and great things for all of the collectors, as well as the new fans that I am going to meet over the next few years. I have had one of my many assistants during this mega-marathon session contact some of the old band members and their techs for info to give you more pleasure while listening to these new releases, as well as in the best interest of trying to replicate the sounds I got in the studio with my co-producers for each musician.
I am also starting to assemble notes for a DVD including all of the Megadeth videos and some rare footage to go along with it. So, I am assembling a large collage of rare artwork and collectibles for your appreciation. I am going to do my best and hope that this will satisfy your curiosity.
    MSGD!"

I cant wait to get my hands on that - i've been listening to RIP for over ten years now and it's the ONLY album that i NEVER tire of. There are albums that you listen to so much that you just have to give them a break - even a year sometimes before you can listen to them again - but RIP....a constant source of inspiration!

I thought that he had already said that he won't be releasing an album with the Megadeth guys. Unless he's got some new guys together to form a new "Megadeth"?

Not with the Megadeth guys, but probably under the name Megadeth (to which, i think, he alone owns the rights) .
He's been in the studio with Chris Poland, though, and if Chris features on any new recording with Mustaine it will be an absolute killer collaboration !

I thought 'The World Needs a Hero' really missed the mark. Still marginally better than "St Anger" mind you --- marginally...
