I've just installed a 2nd Digibox onto my Sky system but it doesn't have a viewing card. If I put a phone card or such like into it upside down, will this give me the default (UK EPG). Is there any procedure I need to follow ? Power off, press button X, Y, Z etc.

    Thanks in advance

Yeah, pretty much any card will give you the default (FTA) EPG.

Turn off the power and put in the card.
    Reconnect power.
You will get a few error messages about the viewing card, just press back up.
After a min or two the EPG should be there.

NOTE: The FTA EPG contains almost every channel that is available through sky. The majority of them are obviously not available without a subscription but Sky have left them up so you will be enticed to subscribe.

I don't think there is a way to get the digibox to list just the channels that are viewable anymore (used to be able to before BBC went FTA).

If it never saw an Irish sub card it has a default EPG of UK with no card.
