    Ireland call up Longwell

Ulster forward Gary Longwell has been drafted into Ireland's squad for the RBS Six Nations game against England on 6 March.

Longwell is called up because Donnacha O'Callaghan is unavailable because of a knee injury.

O'Callaghan's absence means Malcolm O'Kelly is likely to be recalled with Longwell expected to be on the bench.

Otherwise, the Irish 22 is unchanged from the win over Wales at Lansdowne Road last Sunday.

A scan in Dublin on Tuesday revealed medial ligament damage to O'Callaghan's right knee.

O'Callaghan, making his first start for Ireland, limped off before half-time in the 36-15 victory over Wales.

Geordan Murphy was not considered for the squad despite making his comeback after injury for Leicester last weekend.

David Wallace was also not considered because of injury.

The Irish starting 15 will be announced on Tuesday.

Forwards: Simon Best (Ulster - Belfast Harlequins) Shane Byrne (Blackrock College), Reggie Corrigan (Greystones), Victor Costello (St Mary's College), Simon Easterby (Llanelli), Anthony Foley (Shannon), Keith Gleeson (St Mary's College), John Hayes (Shannon), Gary Longwell (Ballymena), Paul O¿Connell (Young Munster), Malcolm O'Kelly (St Mary's College), Frank Sheahan (Cork Constitution).

Backs: Gordon D'Arcy (Lansdowne), Girvan Dempsey (Terenure College), Guy Easterby (Rotherham), Shane Horgan (Lansdowne), Tyrone Howe (Dungannon), David Humphreys (Dungannon), Kevin Maggs (Bath), Brian O'Driscoll (Blackrock College) capt, Ronan O'Gara (Cork Constitution), Peter Stringer (Shannon).
