Courage has you running away,
Conscience cuts your corners the easy way.
Scorn has got you much in demand,
Hatred makes the girls want to hold your hand.

Truth is not a matter of fact,
Proof is how your amily and friends react.
Weakness is a virtue at times,
Strongest is the soft and the strong combined.

As it slowly slips
From your warm damp grasp
And you smile though you're torn
And answer what isn't asked
of you


And no more defense
I'll go quietly i swear
No more tears

And here- cuff my hands
I am guilty as I'm charged
No more tears

Its not a poem its a song

just thought you guys would have some input

its about being too nice to be cool

nice guys finishing last

and also wanting something - getting it - then wishing you never had it!

its not very high concept or complex and as far from literal as possible.
