Well it's meant to be good - entertainment.ie hand it out 5 pacmans. Obviously, given the Oscar nods, the acting is well above par but it's the manner in which it's shot that intruiges me - discotinuous chronologically. You'll jump back and forth along the plot's timeline from one scene to the next, meaning - I assume - you'll have to engage your brain that bit more to follow it. I like this in concept. Hope to find out how much I like it when I see it next weekend.

I saw it last week as part of the DIFF.

If you liked Amore Perros then you'll like this.

And if you didn't see Amores Perros, then you should still like it. Very strong performances from Sean Penn and Beneccio Del Toro, particularly Del Toro (would say Oscar-winning but he's up against Tim Robbins who is in with a strong chance of winning)

Amore Perros was damn good, so I may be forced to go see this

Try Nine Queens which was entertaining enough.

Also Carindiru whenever it gets a release here, was shown as part of DIFF. Pretty good.

I caught this last night. Overall verdict is that it was excellent. But the first half hour is pretty bewildering - it's hard to know what the hell's going on because the film jumps all over the place. It's also a pretty grim movie....don't expect too many song and dance numbers...the only light moments are when the credits roll at the end. By the way, all the lead actors are brilliant - Naomi Watts in particular...

Go see...it's one of those movies that stay with you long after you've left the cinema which is always a good sign.

Superb film with some excellent performances. Film of the year so far for me anyway.
As Bettyboo said it is a bit bewildering for the first 1/2 hour but once the plot unfolds you'll be hooked.
