    partition my hard drive with windows xp already installed on it. I just want to put xp in its own section...any advice on how to do this????

    Yes you can. Decide on the sizes of the partitions you need and run partition magic. Increase / decrease any partitions you have and / or create new ones. After you're finished, partition magic will perform these tasks after you reboot your pc.....

    just like ....... (partition) magic :)

    @Ronaldo: I did experience some problems in doing this as per this thread here .

    Acronis Partition did the job though.

    **** magic!!!

    i recently decided to delete my system partition, resize my data partition & then create a new system partition.
    5 hours & 50% done later i got sick of waiting (i wanted to get some ****ing sleep) and turned my pc off.

    mostly my own fault... but 10 ****ing hours??? bollocks to that.

    stupid me thought that i'd backed all of my important stuff up... 400mb of pictures from my digital camera - gone. (along with a couple of gb of porn:( )

    grrrrr!

    just make sure you've backed up all of your stuff beforehand
