    marcus

took a few moments out to have a quick listen to 3 or 4 of the tracks.
cant really make a good judgement at this stage.
to me it sounded like the "magnetic fields" (particularly the vocals)only more serious.
there are some nice guitar riffs and melodies.
one or two of the tracks i listened to had a lead and backing vocal or harmony or something along that line, wasnt really impressed with that aspect, i didnt think the two voices complemented each other, as i said though i have only had a quick listen.
i thought there was a slight turin brakes influence there as well.
    guitar playing was good.

Cheers thanks for the feedback. Are the "Magnetic Fields" and "Turin Brakes" Irish or what?

well turin brakes are english. i think the magnetic fields are american.

they have an album called "69 love songs". the name is just tongue and cheek but there is actually 69 songs so its well worth the 20 quid or so.

personally i didnt like them. maybe get a band and make them more fleshy....some of the guitar bits sound good but dont seem to work on their own.
    just my opinion
