Does anyone know if it is possible to get TG4 outside of Ireland, primarily Northern Ireland and the UK ? Thanks.

In N.I. and bits of Wales, Devon and Cornwall a big pole and aerial works.

Otherwise you need a Sky Subscription, Family pack or better, registered to an Irish Address in the 26 Counties.

I have 3 Digital and 3 Analog receivers, All the main UK, French, German, Italian channels (and 700 others). But I can only get Irish TV via an aerial.

For what I watch, Sky is bad value at €29 per month. I buy DVDs instead.

Sky decides the package and Price of Irish channels with no input from RTE/TG4 and no Irish regulation. They can charge whatever they like and make it part of whichever package they want. RTE /TG4 don't get a cent either! BBC gets money from Sky for NI TV being on Republic EPG, arn't RTE Idiots with their "secret details" Sky "free" Carriage deal? It isn't Free Carriage for the Irish Licence Fee payer (RTE/TG4 is a Public Service Broadcaster).

TG4 may be on the NI Family pack soon. Allegedly works via other channels for NI Sub cards but not FTV cards at the moment.

    Hi all,

It's a pity that RTE/TG4 can't come to some arrangement with BBC and broadcast FTA from one of their spare transponders.

Surely this wouldn't cost RTE/TG4 much?

I'm not sure I'd like TV3 to be seen outside of the Republic :-)

    regards,
    Dave

if it became available on FTV cards that would be outrageous seeing as it has a family pack minimum down here
