I got this from Digital spy

Pay-per-view sports channel Setanta has beat off competition from BBC Scotland for exclusive rights to broadcast live games from the Scottish Premier League.

The four-year-deal, thought to be worth between £32m and £50m, enables Setanta to broadcast 38 live games per season to digital cable and satellite viewers until the end of the 2007-2008 season.

Most of the games will be shown on Sundays at 3pm.

An exclusive four-year-deal with the BBC for radio and online rights was also agreed by the SPL clubs.

Lex Gold, SPL executive chairman, said:

"Setanta will broadcast 38 live games per season across the UK and Eire.

"As part of the package Setanta will also be able to show 10 Saturday 3pm games on pay-per-view platform in Eire only.

"We will move forward with our remaining packages including highlights over the season and new media."

    hmmmmmmm

the premiership will also be on at 3pm on Saturdays so i know which one i'll be watching.

but why do i think that PPV for every televised SPL game is a bad idea. if only Sky got it back, they're coverage was very good

Don't Setanta already have the rights to show some PPV Saturday Premiership games in Ireland next season? I can't see too many Sky Sports subscribers in Ieland forking out extra for PPV games.

It will have to be similair to premeirship plus to work with one fee to watch all games as in a season ticket, who is going to pay to see hibs vs motherwell lol, it would have to show the big 2every week to work
