    You could try one of the colleges (STC, TBMC, Pulse, etc) and hope you get a good student for a small fee. Might be worth doing, just to get a chance to listen to your songs properly before spending big money elsewhere.

    I've heard good things about JAM studios in Kells

    The sites for the afore mentioned are pretty inconclusive on rates(bar Jam which is very reasonable). Can you give me an idea on the rates for the colleges?

    Well STC was £30 for a 6 hour session ten years ago. Perhaps you could give them a call?
